It is recommended a tour for those who want to catch a glimpse of the local wildlife. Palo Verde comprises dry forest, wetland and mangrove swamp, which is a perfect habitat for crocodiles, monkies, iguanas, bats and many kinds of exotic birds. The boat boards at a location called Ballena Port on the Tempisque River, which is the nearest access to the park and then 2 hours boat tour. Gear needed: shorts, sandals, a t-shirt, and binoculars.
